May Day!!

Today, was a very fun day. At my school we had a May Fair day. What that means is that we get to go around the school's back yard and play games all afternoon. The best part about that day was when me and my friend, Kevin, bought four water balloons and exploded them over Dayna. It was very funny, because she was drenched with water and she was very mad at us. She chased us around the whole fair until one of the teachers yelled at her. It was so much fun because the was so mad that she looked like a red pepper.



Today, at the May Fair, we had a twins day. My friend, Noah, and I entered the contest. We wore the same exact shirt, shorts, shoes, socks, and we dyed our hair green and blue. It was amazing. Me and Noah won the twins contest. YAY!!!!

Pranks

Pranks are so much fun to pull. The worst prank that I and my friends are pulling right now is stealing my friend, Tanner's, parent's key to their jet ski and replacing it with a training key. It all started when I was with my friend, Cory, last Saturday. I had to go with him to Tanner's house so that he could mow Tanner's lawn because Tanner's family went to Mexico. Anyway, Cory's dad went into the garage to find an extension cord for the weed cutter. He was looking all over for it and then he realized that the jet ski was there. See, Tanner's dad, bought this new jet ski and put A LOT of work in it to make it go fast. Well, Cory's dad took the regular key and replaced it with the training key, which cuts half of the power of the jet ski out. So the Jet ski will go slower than it did before which will make Tanner's dad VERY VERY ANGRY and it will be funny! We are going to try and video tape it on Sunday because that is when Tanner's dad is going on the lake to try out his newly improved jet ski.

Inspiration

I have had many people in my life who have inspired me. One of those people is Dayna. Dayna inspires me to drink really yummy tea. She also inspires me to wait to the last minute to do my work. Marisa inspires me to do the opposite of what Dayna inspires me to do. Marisa inspires me to drink coffee instead of tea and to not be lazy and do my homework early. Madison inspires me to................................... not cut my hair. Kevin does the same thing as Dayna and inspires me to be lazy. Cory inspires me to get into trouble using a dart gun. Taylor inspires me to TRY and read really fast. Samantha inspires me to be very quiet and not to be a distraction. Sean inspires me to be funny. Maddy and Tessa inspire me to eat. All of my inspirations are my friends and have made improvements to my life.

Summer

My summer is going to be really boring. First of all, my friend is going on a cruise to Jamaica and to California which will leave me with nothing to do. That jerk! Just kidding :) One thing I am doing though, is going to Steamboat Springs for a soccer tournement. We stay at this amazing condo that is very cool. Another thing that I might do is go to Seattle for a soccer tournement. The Seattle one will probably be rainy and cold, but I have never been to Seattle, so it sounds like a lot of fun. We probably won't win the Seattle tournement, but it will be a good experiance for our team. My summer for the most part is going to be boring.

Least favorite part of the school year

My least favorite part of the school year was probably all the projects that we got assigned. I mean, the projects were fun projects, but we didn't have a lot of time to do them. We had this one project were we had to do a news broadcast, and we had to film it all, we got it assigned on a Thursday, and it was due the next Wednesday. We got like less than a week to do the whole project so of course we couldn't do anything cool with it. Another assignment that we had was an interview with a congress man assignment. In this assignment, we are in partners with someone in our class. One of us is the congressman and one of us is the interviewer. We got like less than a week to do this assignment. These two assignments would have been really fun to do, if only we had more time.

Favorite part of the school year

My school year didn't have many exciting moments. There are only a few that I could think of. The First one is when my school soccer team won the soccer Championships in our soccer league. It was a very evenly matched game that was tied at 2-2 at the end of the game. We had to go into overtime. The beginning of the overtime was very boring, but near the end is when things got interesting. I was playing forward and my friend was playing defense, he stopped a counter-attack that the other team had and kicked the ball all the way down the field. I through 4 kids to get to the ball. When I finally got to the ball, I beat one more kid and took a shot at goal. The shot was low and went right to the lower corner. The best part about it was that my friend and my cousin who I play club with was on the other team that my team just beat. It was the first time ever that my school won something at a sport. My coach was very proud because he has coached this team for 5 or 6 years and he finally coached the team to victory!

Manners

It is very important to use your manners especially around adults or someone that you just met. Saying please or thank you to an adult or someone new shows that you were brought up in a good home by good people. It also shows people that you have class. Having manners tells people that you respect them and that you are polite. It is always important to use your manners because not only does it show class and respect to the people you are around, but it allows the people around you to respect you too.

Fanatasy story part one

It started out as a regular boring day. I got up and got ready for school. I thought I was going to be late for the bus, so I sprinted out the door. Once I got outside, I realized that the bus hadn’t arrived yet. I sighed in relief and waited for the bus. It was five minutes before school was about to start and the bus still wasn’t here yet. So, I went inside to tell my mom. I walked inside and said “Mom, the bus hasn’t come to pick me up, can you give me a ride to school?” My mom said yes, so we hopped in her Aston Martin vanquish and headed off to school.

When we got to school, we looked out the window and realized that there was no school, just a huge crater where the school was supposed to be. There was no trace that there was supposed to be a school where that big crater was. I was horrified. I saw my best friend Kevin walking by the wreckage. I ran over to where he was standing and asked, “What happened?” Kevin replied in his usual layed back tone, “The magical hedgehog flew over the school and blew it up with his laser vision powers. The magical hedgehogs are going to invade and this one is going to destroy the world.” I asked, “How do you know this?” Kevin replied, “I saw it on youtube.” I said, “Great, so how do we stop them?” Kevin said, “I can stop them because I speak magical hedgehog, so just get me to them.” It was a little freaky learning that my friend could speak magical hedgehog, but I replied, “OK Kevin whatever you say.”

The next day, we tracked the hedgehog into Australia. Once we landed, we went into a town and stole a 1971 Plymouth Barracuda and went in the direction that we tracked the hedgehog. We found the hedgehog in a cave in the southern part of the outback. We then waited patiently to see what would happen next.

It was the next day and there was still no movement. Kevin was still in his possessed mode and he really badly wanted to go and talk with the hedgehog. After hours and hours of Kevin asking the same irritating question of, “Can I go talk to the hedgehog now,” I decided to go and let him. I told him, “Figure out what they want, I will be right next to you if you need help.” So we began our five minute journey to the cave.

We snuck up to the edge of the cave and looked in to see what the hedgehog was doing. We couldn't’t see him, so we decided to go in and investigate. Once we got into the cave, both Kevin and I felt a cold chill run down our spine. We turned around and saw the hedgehog hovering behind us with this reddish pinkish substance oozing from his mouth. He flew over to us with his red hot eyes ready to burn a hole through our flesh. He shouted at us in hedgehog. I didn't understand but Kevin said in hedgehog voice, "All we want to know is what you want with our planet?" The hedgehog's eyes got scarlet red and then, there was.......

Cell phones

What do I think about talking on your phone while driving? I think that it should be outlawed! People are careless when they talk on their phone while driving because they are concentrating on their conversation instead of the road. Driving while talking on your phone can be as bad as drunk driving. When people drive drunk they don't pay attention to the road and other people around them. This is basically the same thing with talking on the phone. There are a lot of people each year who get in car accidents because they were talking on their phone and if we ban using the phone while driving then there will probably less car accidents.

Earth day

My family isn't the biggest Eco-friendly family. We recycle pop cans, newspapers, and plastic bottles, but that is basically it. One thing that we can try to do to save water is take shorter showers which my family could probably do. We could also try to use more reusable water bottles, like the nalgene bottles, instead of plastic water bottles. One thing that my family can't do to save the earth is use less diesel and gasoline. We travel a lot because of soccer so we do use a bunch of gasoline. Also, my dad drives a power stroke diesel Ford truck so he does also use a lot of diesel which is not good for the environment. My family does do some stuff to help the environment, but we are not the most earth friendly family.

FIELD TRIP!!!!!!!

This past Thursday and Friday, my class went on a field trip. The field trip was very exciting and fun because we got to go to the Denver Zoo and Aquarium. We saw many, interesting, animals like this weird bird, a silverback gorilla, and a baby giraffe. My favorite animal that I saw was not at the Zoo, it was at the aquarium. That animal was a river otter. The river otters are different than sea otters because the are much smaller, have webbed feet instead of flippers, and can walk better on land. My favorite part of the trip hapened to be watching the river otters work out in the morning. One of the otters was going in circles around a log and the other one was swimming back in forth very fast. The river otters didn't act this way during the day though. During the day, they were being boring and just sitting in their den. This was very interesting to see the otters act this way. My favorite part of the trip was the river otters.These photos were taken by my friends

What would I buy with 5 grand?

If I had 5,000 dollars the first thing that I would buy is a really nice soccer goal that the professionals in Europe use. Then I would buy grass to put the soccer goal on. After that I would buy really expensive Nike Vapors to play soccer with. To go with the cleats, I would buy a really nice soccer ball that is filled with helium like the pros use. Just for kicks, I would buy the most expensive pair of golie gloves then rub it in everyones face. The last thing that I would buy would be a 32GB Ipod touch and 100 dollars worth of I-tunes.

What I admire about my dad

My dad is a very extraordinary man. He is a very good farmer and knows basically everything that has to do with farming. It is very hard to get him mad, but when someone does it is best to stay away from him because he stays mad for a long time. He is a very handy man and knows a lot about tools and carpentry. He is also very funny. He makes jokes that are so corny that they are very funny. My dad loves country music and his favorite artist is George Strait. My dad is also very good at cooking burgers. He puts this special seasoning that makes them very super amazing. The last thing that is cool about my dad is that he drives a FORD which is like the best type of truck ever. Anyway, my dad is a very nice guy and anyone who knows him knows that he is fun to be around, (unless he is mad.)

My spring break experiance

This spring break was a non-exciting one for me. My family was going to go skiing, but I hurt my leg playing soccer before the break. My leg was all swollen and pink and purple and puffy. Imagine getting ski boots over that. That would be a challenge. Anyway, because of my leg I didn't get to do much, so I went over to my friends house. I got there and it was getting very windy outside, but I didn't think much about it. That night, we were playing my friend's Wii and then it started howling and going crazy outside. We looked out a window and the wind was so powerful that that it looked like a tree was bent over! We stopped playing video games around 10:00 pm and decided to watch some movies. My friend took me to his movie case. he opened it up and there were a ton of DVDs that it was hard to choose. We finally decided on two movies, the Rundown and Lord of the Rings the Fellowship of the Ring. We started to watch the Rundown when both of us get extremely hungry. So we slowly crept to his kitchen, (so his parents couldn't hear us) and we dished out some ice cream. The ice cream was extremely delicious and rich and creamy. In order to treasure the super amazingness, I grabbed a mini spoon that babies use to savor the flavor.

The ice cream gave us an explosion of energy, but it was slowly fading away. Eventually, my friend gave into is tiredness and fell asleep. I was very disappointed. I didn't know how to use their DVD player, so I decided to fall asleep.

The next day, we woke up at about 9:00 am. We looked outside and saw a whole bunch of snow. We flipped to the news and heard that there was a ton of snow on the ground and it was still snowing. My mother called me and said that she would come and pick me up when the snow would let up. It wasn't until around five that the snow started to let up a little, and my mother still couldn't come and get me, so I got to stay at my friends house another night. The next morning, my mom was able to come and get me at about noon. That was the most exciting thing I did over spring break.

How do you cut back?

These are tough economic times we are in now. Gas prices have sky-rocketed, (but they are going down) and groceries are costing a fortune. It is costing so much money just to heat and give our houses electricity now a days. What my family does to cut back is we turn off lights when we aren't in a room to save electricity and we turn down the thermostat to save heat. Also, instead of buying few groceries at one time we buy a whole bunch of groceries at once so we don't have to waste gas to go to the grocery store every five minutes. We are in tough times and people need to do all they can to save money. Just cut back!!

Soccer Cleats

I'm going to compare two types of soccer cleats, Nike Vapors and Nike Air Legends. I, Myself have had both Nike Vapors and Air Legends.

NIKE VAPORS

PROS: Nike Vapors are a stylish pair of cleats that have a a very narrow arch area. These kind of cleats are perfect for those, like myself, who have very narrow feet. They are very light and give the owner a very good feel of the ball. They are made out of synthetic leather and are a very comfortable cleat. I would recommend anybody to wear these cleats.

Cons: Nike Vapors are only for those who have narrow feet. Also, the synthetic leather makes your feet really hot and doesn't allow them to breathe. They don't keep your feet warm during cold games. These cleats can be very expensive and they last for about a season and a half.

Overall, these cleats were very good cleats.

Nike Air Legends

Pros: Nike Air Legends are a very good looking cleat and appealing to the eye. They are a little wider in the arch way so people with fat feet can fit into them. They are made out of kangaroo leather and give an excellent feel of the ball. The leather keeps your feet very warm during cold games and have a lot of give to them. I have these cleats right now and I love them a lot.

Cons: There aren't many bad things about this cleat. They are kind of expensive, but not nearly as expensive as the Vapors. The Velcro part at the top of your foot slowly start losing its stick, but that is really it.

These cleats are AMAZING and I would advise any player to buy them.

Nike Vapors kept me light on my feet, but Air legends have been keeping my feet warm. These are two amazing types of cleats, but i lean towards the Air Legends. I would advise any one to wear either of these cleats because both pairs of cleats worked really well for me. Both pairs of Nike's would be ideal for any soccer player.

My favorite sports team

If any of you have read my about me column you would know I am a soccer player, so obviously my favorite sports team is going to be a soccer team. Well, my favorite sports team is Real Madrid. Most of you probably don't know who Real Madrid. Real Madrid is the soccer league called La Liga. This league and this team are located in Spain. Real Madrid is one of the best teams in the league and their home field is in the capital of Spain which is Madrid. I like Real Madrid because it has my favorite players on it who are Sergio Ramos (defender) and Raul (forward and the u in his name has an accent over it.) I like Sergio Ramos because he is one of the best defenders in the world and because he has long hair. I like Raul because he is the Captain of Real Madrid. Well, that soccer team is the most amazing team ever.

My favorite TV show

My favorite TV show is That 70's show. This show is hilarious, but it can be inappropriate at times. It shows how people in the 70's lived while adding humor in it. It really is not appropriate from for kids, but it is the best TV show ever created. My favorite character is between Leo, Fez, or Red. Leo is just a stupid hippie that doesn't understand anything, Fez has a cool accent and also doesn't understand anything, and Red just makes me laugh by what he does during the show. I would recommend this show to anyone because of its ability to be hilarious.

GPS in cell phones

Personally, I thimk GPS in cell phones is a good thing. I mean, every phone has a GPS built into it and it helps say if you were abducted by a serial killer. GPS in cell phones should only be used in serious times (such as if you went missing or have not called saying you are going to be late.) I also think that GPS in cell phones could be useful if you are like me and lose your cell phone all of the time. Although, GPS in cell phones should not be abused and used to spy or stalk your child with. GPS is a good thing.

4 ingredient COOKIES!!!!!

These are amazing cookies. All it takes to make these cookies are a box of your favorite cake mix, 1/2 a cup of oil, two eggs, and a package of your favorite type of chips (such as chocolate chips, or butterscotch chips.) You will also need to have cooking spray, a cookie sheet, and a huge bowl.

STEP 1. The first step in making these cookies is pre-heating your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Next, you pour all the ingredients into the bowl.

STEP 2. After you pour all the ingredients in the bowl, you mix them all together.












STEP 4. Once the ingredients are mixed together, you spray the cookie sheet with the canola oil (so the cookies don't stick to the sheet.)

STEP 5. Then, you take all the mixed cookie dough from the bowl and make them into little balls. You take the balls and put them on the cookie sheet. Place each of the little cookie dough balls like an inch or more apart. This will make it so that cookies that are right next it you don't hit each other when they spread out.

STEP 6. What you do next is put the cookies in the oven and set the timer for 9-10 minutes at 375 degrees. Once the cookies are done baking, you can let them cool and enjoy. Also, there should be left over dough so that you can make another batch by repeating step 5-6.

Now, these cookies look weird because I made them out of spice cake cake mix and butterscotch chips. And they aren't burnt because that is just what spice cake looks like. Anyway, the spice cake cookies are amazing (if you like spice cake) so make them!

Valentine's Day

There is one thing about Valentines Day that I dislike. The first thing is that this holiday to me seems pointless. I mean, why do we need to designate a day to eat candy and and give cakes to one another. Seriously, we could do that everyday of the year, there is no point in designating one day to do that. I personally think Valentine's Day has no meaning. The only thing I really like about Valentine's day is that you can get extra candy, but I don't like candy that well anyway so it doesn't matter to me.

My favorite President

My favorite President of all time has definitely been President Dwight D. Eisenhower. I like Eisenhower because he is a Republican and Republicans are amazing. Also, because Eisenhower was an amazing General and lead the successful invasion at Normandy. He helped the U.S win World War II. Did you know that Eisenhower had to memorize the military vision chart so that he could actually get in the military?He had to do this because he had bad vision. I also like him because he had the most amazing slogan when he ran for office. His slogan was, "I like Ike." President Eisenhower was the most amazing President ever.

What Disney character I am like

The Disney character I am most like is probably Dash from the Incredibles. I would be most like Dash because Dash is really short and so am I. Also, because Dash loves to annoy and bug his older sister which happens to be one of my favorite hobbies. Another similarity between me and Dash is that we are both light on our feet. The last similarity between me and Dash is that we are both caucasians and we both have blonde hair. That is why I would be most like Dash.

Second graders are FUNNY!

Do you rememder those days of second grade? Well, those were fun times. We always played with those builder blocks and the days of random painting. Well today, I was in my teachers room (who teaches second grade) and these girls were writing to each other in Greek. (The funny thing about that is that they only learned Greek today.) Well, anyway these two girls were having a fight. One of the girls wrote to the other girl that said that she does not like the other girl at all and she also said that the other girl was a little brat. Well, once the Principal read it, the girl that wrote it started to cry a lot.

I was laughing so hard at the note because it was hilarious :) :0

My favorite teacher

I have had a lot of great teachers in my life. I have to say that one of my favorites has been my middle school tech teacher. I liked her because she always gave our class candy when we did something right and she was always in a good mood. She knew almost everything about computers. She taught me how to blog and she also taught me how to use photoshop. She was a super amazing fantastic teacher!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My other favorite teacher was my English teacher. She was really nice and wasn't boring. What I mean is that she didn't just stand in front and lecture you, she had us play games and move around. She had us do fun stuff and was really amazing English teacher.

You Rock!!!!

You Rock!! What's your favorite band? Because one of my favorite bands is Three Days Grace and they are amazing. The only song I really know from them is Riot, but I think that that song is really good. Another of my my favorite country duets is Brooks and Dunn. They sing two really good songs featuring the greatest women country singer of all time Reba McEntire. The songs are Cowgirls Don't Cry and Put A Girl In It! Most of you people who read this (if any) probably doesn't like country, but it is my favorite type of music and it is amazing.

My most painful experience

One of my most painful experiences was when I broke my hand. It started off when my friend invited me over to his house for his birthday party. When I arrived, his friends were playing football in his front yard. I got out of the car and started playing football with them. Of course, it was tackle football. Well, I hit one of my friends friend really hard and he fumbled the football. Then, not thinking, I reached my hand out with my finger pointing up and one of my friends friend dove on my finger. It split my knuckle and broke part of my hand. I didn't feel it until I got up and couldn't move my hand without it hurting really bad. It really wasn't a fun time.

My Dream birthday

If I could have a birthday anywhere I wanted to, I would celebrate in Las Vegas. In Las Vegas I would visit the big pyramid thing. It looks cool. I really don't know what it looks like but it sounds cool. I would bring all of my friends and we would stay at the super nice hotel with the roller coaster inside it. We would go to casinos and watch people gamble their money away and laugh at them when they go broke. It would be so much FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Biggest Pet Peeve

Don't you hate it when someone in your family leaves just a little bit of food or drink left for everyone else? Well if you do then you will know how I feel. It really makes me mad because if you are really excited to eat or drink something and you see that there is still some left when you look at the package, but when you open it you see that there is very little left inside the package. It just makes me really angry when stuff like that happens at my house. I am telling everyone who does this to stop doing this because it annoys and makes everyone around you really REALLY angry!!!!!!!!!
